Walk Shizuoka's old tea-merchant streets with a Sumpu Wave guide
IllustrationWhat you will do
A model course by Sumpu Wave, Shizuoka City's volunteer guide group. Starting from the statues of Takechiyo and Imagawa Yoshimoto, you walk about 3 km in two hours through Chamachi, once a hub of the tea trade, and Anzai and Kitabancho, where tea-exporting firms lined the streets from the Meiji era, ending at Shizuoka Sengen Shrine. Guiding in English, Chinese or Korean can be requested, subject to guide availability.
